Create a new account
Creating a Direct2Care account takes a few minutes. Because Direct2Care is a healthcare platform, you'll be asked to verify your contact information and secure your account before you can get care for the first time.
Note: If your employer provides Direct2Care as a benefit, check your email for a welcome message before creating a new account. See [Activating your account] for more.
Step 1 - Create your account
- Open the Direct2Care app. At the bottom of the welcome screen, tap Create an account here.
- Enter your email address and phone number.
- Enter your first, middle, and last name.
- Enter your home address.
- Enter your date of birth and sex.
- Review and agree to the Terms & Conditions.
Step 2 - Verify your email
A temporary password will be sent to the email address you provided. Open the email and use that password to confirm your address and continue setup.
- Check your email for a message from Direct2Care containing your temporary password.
- Return to the app and log in using your email address and the temporary password.
- You'll be prompted to create a permanent password. Enter and confirm it, then tap Continue.
Tip: Can't find the email? Check your spam or junk folder. Make sure you entered your email address correctly in step 2.
Step 3 - Secure your account
- You'll be asked whether you'd like to enable biometric login like Face ID, Touch ID, or the equivalent on your device. Tap Yes to enable it, or Maybe Later to skip this for now.
- An account created confirmation screen will appear.
Step 4 - Log in
Because your password was just updated, you'll complete your first login to activate your session.
- Tap Log In and enter your email address and new password.
- You'll be asked to set up two-factor authentication (2FA). Choose to receive your verification code by email or text message.
- Enter the code you receive, then tap Verify.
- You'll land on the home screen. Your account is ready to use.
Note: On future logins, if you've enabled biometric login you'll go straight to the home screen. If you log in with your email and password, you'll complete a quick 2FA verification each time.
