What to expect during your visit
Direct2Care visits take place over a video call. Here's what a typical visit looks like.
Meeting your provider
When your provider joins, they'll introduce themselves and review the reason for your visit. They'll ask questions about your symptoms and relevant medical history before discussing a diagnosis and next steps.
Using your camera
Because your visit is video-based, your provider may ask you to use your camera to show them areas that need to be examined, like a rash, a wound, redness, swelling, and so on. Having good lighting and being in a private space will help your provider see clearly and ensure your visit stays confidential.
What your provider can order
Depending on your condition, your provider may:
- Prescribe medication, sent directly to your pharmacy on file
- Order lab work or imaging studies
- Recommend follow-up care or a specialist referral
Visit length
Most visits last around 15 minutes, though this varies depending on your condition and what your provider needs to discuss.
