What's on the home screen

The Direct2Care app is organized around five tabs along the bottom of the screen. From anywhere in the app, you can tap a tab to jump to that section. The home screen is where you land when you open the app — it gives you a quick overview of what's active and a way to get care fast.

Navigating the app

The navigation bar runs along the bottom of every screen. Here's what each tab does.

Tab What it's for

Home

Your starting point. Shows active visits, shortcuts, and prompts.
Visits A record of all your past and current visits, including visit notes.
Get Care Starts a new care request. Styled as a button to make it easy to find.
Messages Responses and follow-up questions from your provider, tied to a visit.
Settings Account details, security, family members, payment, language, and more.

What's on the home screen

The home screen updates based on your activity. Here's what you'll find there.

Get Care

A Get Care button appears at the top of the home screen. Tapping it starts the care request flow. See [Getting care] for the full walkthrough.

Active visits

Any visit you've started but not yet completed appears here as a visit card. Each card shows the current status of that visit, whether it's in a waiting room, in progress with a provider, or awaiting a response.

If you're waiting for a provider to join, a Start Visit button will appear on the card when they're ready. Tap it to enter the visit.

If you leave the app and come back, your active visits will still be here.

Invite your family

If you haven't yet added family members to your plan, you'll see a prompt on the home screen to invite them. You can tap through to set that up, or dismiss it and come back later. Family members can be managed at any time from the Settings tab. See [Managing family members] for more.

Note: An empty home screen is normal — it just means you don't have any active visits right now.
